Infrequently Asked Questions

How much should I contribute? We welcome donations of all sizes. For reference, donors who sponsor individual children contribute an average amount of US$200 annually.

What does my donation cover? I don’t want it to cover any admin costs! We’re very open with our books, and if you have any clarifications you need on this, get in touch and we will run you through them. In general, we keep our administrative costs to the bare minimum. We still need to pay salaries and cover costs of travel and events and while we do everything we can cheaply, and minimally, and frugally, this is the reality of running a low-cost non-profit for a cause we believe in! We’d love to hear what concerns you have, so feel free to reach out. Otherwise, this blog post covers details of what your donations end up doing in the field. Only full-time operations staff draw salaries; directors, advisors and volunteers do not.

I’d like to talk to someone before contributing. Sure. Shoot Adrianna, the managing director, an email right here or contact our office for more general assistance.
